All Saints Church and the Methodist Chapel; having spent a few years joining together for Festivals, Easter Christmas and Harvest, finally became a Local Ecumenical Project (LEP) on 20th January 1993.

The decision was made to call ourselves Wistow Village Church and not Wistow Village Churches to show ourselves as one united body of people who worship God in their own individual ways and to promote the Gospel of Jesus throughout the village. We do work very well together and have many times been given as an example to other communities of how an LEP can be successful.

Worship is shared between the two buildings on alternate Sundays.

1st Sunday 9.00am Holy Communion                                        All Saints Church

Our Anglican vicar, Rev. Terry Dyer lives in Cawood and also has the responsibility of Cawood and Ryther church. Our Methodist minister lives in Sherburn in Elmet and also has responsibility within the Goole and Selby Circuit. Our recently appointed Methodist minister is due to take up their post in the spring.

Baptisms in the Anglican Church are either in the Family Communion service or privately at 12.00pm or 12:30pm.

Please contact the vicar or minister if you have any particular requests or needs.

Look out for our special services in the village magazine.
