WARNING FOR WISTOW RESIDENTS
Wistow residents need to be aware that Selby District Councils Core Strategy is up for consultation. You can download a copy of the lengthy document here. You may recall that Wistow was a Primary Village in the first Core Strategy Development Plan, and it is still in the new version, Only now it is a designated service village.
Core strategy Page 16 Para 4.10
“An assessment has been made of the relative overall sustainability of village settlements, including the availability of services and accessibility to higher order services and employment
opportunities. This is supplemented by a further assessment of the capacity of individual villages to accept additional growth,”
What this means for Wistow is, Selby District Council think Wistow is ripe for additional development and although Cawood has more amenities/Services, Cawood is not!!!!
